Frequent trips to Europe enable Jann to capture the feeling and sense of the subjects she paints with a fresh vibrant handling of the medium. Light and texture are primary to her compositions in which she captures the essence and feeling of the many places seen and travelled. Jann is a Signature Member of the National Watercolor Society, and California Watercolor Society.

Pollard is co-author with Jerry Little, of the book, “Creative Computer Tools for Artists”, Watson Guptill Publications, and her work has been featured in articles in Watercolor magazine, American Artist, Spring 2012 and International Artist magazine, Feb/Mar 1999. Jann has numerous giclée prints, posters and was the cover artist for the lauded Karen Brown travel books series for numerous years. Her most recent publication is “An Artist’s Portfolio – Jann Lawrence Pollard”, Blurb Publications. Pollard completed several paintings for Princess Cruises, with prints of the paintings sold exclusively onboard their ships. Jann has become a popular ‘plein air’ teacher in workshops in Europe, Mexico and the United States but is now retired from teaching to allow more time to paint myself.

Her extensive works are in private and corporate collections, internationally. Recent exhibitions are Carolina’s Got Art, Southern Watercolor Society, Impressionist’s Society Annual and South Carolina Watermedia Society. Five of her paintings were recently purchased for the new Duke Cancer Center in Durham, NC. Jann and her husband, Gene, (also an artist) reside in Charlotte, North Carolina.
